Founded in 1980, SH3's unusual name evolved from the first letters of the owner's last names (one S, three H's). Two of the original four owners still own and actively manage the company. Today, SH3 is a successful corporation with an excellent reputation in the translation community.

Ownership
SH3 is located in Kansas City with a staff of 20, led by two owners. Pat Hubbard lived around the world while growing up as the son of an international businessman and is fluent in many languages. With 30 years of experience in translation, he sets high standards for his own translations, and expects no less from SH3's translators. Dennis Hartwig has enjoyed a life-long career in graphic arts, with 25 years in the translation business. A co-founder of SH3 along with Pat Hubbard, he supervises our desktop publishing staff.

Staff
Our in-house staff includes full-time translators for major European languages. Additionally, we work with more than 300 translators and linguists located around the world.

Our project managers handle translation projects from beginning to end, managing all the details, tracking and scheduling, to make sure our clients get exactly what they want, when they want it. And we keep track of those details for the next time around.

Our desktop publishers can format your translated document in many different programs and platforms, assuring that it is professional and attractive when it's returned to you. Our office also includes administrative personnel to round out our list of client services, for sales, marketing and accounting functions.

Dedication To Translation Quality
Many things have changed in the translation business since SH3 was founded, but some things remain the same. It still requires careful attention to detail and exceptional language expertise to provide accurate translation for a myriad of clients.
